Calcium: It is essential for cats to ensure normal bone and tooth development and to increase bone and tooth strength.

Fish oil: Cats need Omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids in the right proportions. A cat’s body is not able to produce Omega fatty acids, and therefore these can only be obtained through a proper diet. Omega-3 deficiency, as in other four-legged mammals, can lead to serious health problems in cats.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids are a major contributor to the health of cats’ hearts, kidneys, skin, fur and joints, and also strengthen their immune systems, making them less susceptible to disease or prone to inflammation.

Taurine: Taurine is an essential amino acid for cats that cannot be produced by their body. It is essential for the healthy functioning of the brain, nervous system, eyes, heart, digestion, reproductive organs and immune system. In pregnant cats, it supports normal pregnancy and foetal development.

Golden root (Rhodiola rosea) extract: Golden root is an adaptogenic plant. It significantly increases the body’s ability to withstand stress, reduces anxiety and improves mood. With its natural antidepressant effect, it is recommended for increased stress, tension and fatigue, and promotes a restful sleep. It also has antioxidant, adaptogen, weight increasing, anti-stress and anti-depressant effects, improves physical fitness, supports digestion and the cardiovascular system, contributes to normal blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

Magnesium: It is important in building bones and maintaining normal nerve and muscle function.

Brewer’s yeast: Brewer’s yeast provides a number of immune-boosting nutrients for the cat’s body, including vitamins B, selenium, zinc and iron. It also contains prebiotic fibres, which support the balance of the intestinal flora, thus improving the functioning of the immune system. Due to its high content of natural vitamin B complex, brewer’s yeast has a positive effect on the skin and hair, reducing hair loss during the moulting period. Experience has shown that the first week of use significantly starts the hair changing process, and after the second week the results are visible, with less hair in the house. Brewer’s yeast is rich in antioxidants, which help to make the fur thicker and shinier.

Lactobacillus acidophilus :

This is one of the most important type of gut bacteria found in the natural gut flora of dogs and cats. The ability to resist stomach and bile acids, as well as the ability to adhere to the intestinal mucosa and produce antimicrobial substances, is the basis of its benefits for animal health.

Studies have also shown its ability to rebalance imbalanced gut flora and to crowd out undesirable bacteria. This is particularly evident in the improvement in faecal consistency due to the reduction in water content in faeces.

L-Arginine: One of its main functions is to enhance the production of nitric oxide as a starting material for nitric oxide synthesis. Nitric oxide has, among other properties, a vasodilator effect, improving blood circulation and thus the transport of oxygen, nutrients, fluids and hormones to the cells.

Selenium:  Selenium is a micronutrient that binds to cysteine to form antioxidant selenoproteins in the body. The latter deliver selenium to tissues, reduce inflammation, support a healthy immune system and the thyroid. They fight oxidative stress and help protect the body from chronic diseases.

Zinc: Zinc is required for many body processes including gene expression, digestion, enzymatic reactions, immune function, protein synthesis, DNA synthesis, wound healing, growth and development.

Iron: Helps blood formation.

Vitamin E: Role: protects the surface of cell membranes against the effects of harmful substances.

Deficiency: muscular weakness, muscular degeneration, reproductive disorders (difficulty in conceiving).

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): Antioxidant action, i.e. helps protect the body from the damaging effects of oxidative stress, protects against free radicals and inhibits ageing processes.

L-Methionine: Support of liver function.

The main roles of the different vitamins B

  • Vitamin B1 – It breaks down and converts carbohydrates and fats into energy. It is also important for proper nerve cell function.
  • Vitamin B2 – Processes amino acids and fats for proper growth and muscle development.
  • Vitamin B3 – Supports proper enzyme function, digestion, appetite, and maintenance of a healthy nervous system, skin and nails.
  • Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) – Helps in the proper utilization of protein and the production of neurotransmitters.
  • Vitamin B7 (biotin) – Promotes digestion, muscle function, skin and hair health.
  • Vitamin B9 – Helps increase red blood cell production in the bone marrow, supports cardiovascular health.
  • Vitamin B12 – Segíti az idegrendszer szabályozását, kulcsszerepe van a növekedésben és vörösvérsejt-képződésben, segíti a vérszegénység megelőzését.

Inositol: Inositol is a type of vitamin B that can inhibit the deposition of fats in the liver, which can be a trigger for a myriad of diseases. Inositol may enhance the ability of cells to recognise insulin, thus helping to regulate blood sugar levels. In addition, it supports weight loss as it also has fat burning properties, is essential for the brain, nervous system and muscles, and has sedative and anti-stress properties.

Manganese: Cats have a higher manganese requirement than other carnivores because they cannot store it in their bodies. Manganese is very important for cartilage formation, ovarian development and function.

Copper: It is a blood-forming element.

Vitamin A: Role: in bone development, proper organ and tissue development during foetal life, maintaining sharp vision.

Deficiency: only rarely developed, growth retardation. Dry eyes, conjunctivitis may also develop.

Vitamin D: Is produced in the skin when exposed to sunlight. Regulates calcium metabolism and ensures ossification.
